New HDD that arrived yesterday might have died

Hello, so I have this laptop for like a year (Lenovo ThinkPad T510), and it was working really great. Unfortunately, one day my HDD broke and I had to buy another one, so I went to eBay with the thoughts that it could be cheaper there. Well it was kinda cheap, so I bought a 250gb Western Digital HDD. It arrived yesterday and I tried to install Win10 on it.

It worked, but I had some problems running it (black screens, errors etc) so I downloaded another Win10 and burned it on another CD. I inserted the cd and went to the part with disk partitions. I tried to format my HDD with the old Win10 and it took like 5 minutes, so that was strange. After the format completed, I got the warning mark that I cannot install Windows on this disk because it might fail soon. Iam pretty sure my new HDD just died.

Any help, please?

Solution
Well, your system can't really boot up now right? You can't install some HDD testing tool on it, as there is no OS over there.
This is why, you need to boot from a flash drive, that has the testing tool on it.

- You will need to get a flash drive.
- Make it bootable with the tool in the instructions: https://support.wdc.com/download/notes/DLGDiagUSBInstructionsv3.pdf
- Copy the DLG exe to the already bootable flash drive.
- Adjust your BIOS boot order, so the USB is the first boot option.
- Perform the tests.

Mechanical drives, as any other mechanical product, could last for years or fail in a day. Also, they are really vulnerable to physical shocks. (during the shipping process let's say)

Let me know in case you have some more...
Hello,
Thanks for the answer! Yes, there might be something wrong, but what surprises me the most is that I got it just yesterday and it is already having problems... Anyway, Iam going to try the test, but I dont know how to do it, could you please tell me what to do? I know I could have just googled it but I think help from a person is better, just by you having some experience with it :)

Thanks for any future advices!
And sorry for my English, Iam from Czech republic and Iam trying my best:/
