I got a new WD Blue 1TB and cloned my HDD onto it before it failed and needed to be reformatted.
So I've reformatted it and had a fresh install of windows onto it. I'm wondering if it was possible to use my cloned drive as primary and boot on the other drive.

I'm currently booting and using the same drive for programs and files and drivers etc.
and my cloned drive is just there. It has corrupted windows files so I can't boot to it and "upgrade" windows to just install windows again and keep the files and avoid all this headache.

Anyways, is what I'm aiming for possible ?

Use my cloned drive as primary (C:) and have the other drive I'm booting off as secondary and still boot to it ?

- I have access to an installation disc (well USB, got the ISO file)
- have the 1 TB WD Blue as Master and the boot drive (old one, with fresh install)

Thank you!!

If only I could boot into the cloned drive again, I could just use easy transfer or something :|

The corruption within the files on your clone would prevent you from booting to the drive/image and even so trying to recover the image using the recovery feature on your installation disc would only mean more trouble than ease.

I'm curious though, what is the make and model of your second drive?
