So i had really bad headphones for a couple of years and now i upgraded to Fnatic React headphones, i plugged them in my motherboard and the sound quality was worse than my old headphones and the sound wasn't loud at all. I tried plugging them in the front panel audio jacks but its the same. I plugged them in my phone and laptop and they worked perfectly as they should. Since the problem is my pc i downloaded drivers even tho its not necessary for these headphones, i downloaded the realtek drivers, and nothing changed. I was messing in the sound control panel, changing anything i can and nothing works there too. So i thought the problem was probably the motherboard but yet again when i try my old headphones they work great when i plug them back in and now im just really lost.
The motherboard is N68-GS4 FX btw.

Not making fun of you but why are you wanting to plug the headset into the mobo instead of the jack plug sockets.

Also , depending on how long it is since you looked at the sound panel options you may not be aware that extra options have been added to the sound panel speaker/mic/headset list. You may not see the option you want unless you scroll the list. Since the layout has altered if i plug my xiberia headset in after some games have launched they wont work.

Dont know if the following will be of any use to you but try it anyway.

1. Go to device manager/ sounds and mic tabs then right click and uninstall drivers even if they dont have a yellow triangle on them. Windows will reinstall them on restart. 2. In sounds/playback tab right...

In sounds/playback tab right click and disable the realtek digital output. just above the icon when using SPEAKERS you should see a green tick in the speaker icon , right click if missing. When you plug in your headphones the icon will go out and if you scroll down you will see a new one for headphones . when you swap between speakers and phones it takes a few seconds to find new device. 3. check properties tab on both headphones .... green jack highlighted and microphone pink jack.
finally at bottom right corner where the speaker icon is change the tab to realtec high def audio , i have my volume at 50% because at 100% when I used headphones on level 2 so 50% makes headphone adjustment more user friendly.
