Looking for a new pc gaming headset how is the astro a50 wireless?

For audio quality and price, Astro is one of the last ones I would pick. All the quality is through their DSP correction through the mixamp they include. Is your main requirement wireless or how well it sounds? There are better sounding wired headphones for cheaper and even wireless ones, Cooler Master MH751 or 752 if you want some fake surround sound through a USB DAC, HyperX Cloud (they have a wireless version also). Without trying some out it's pretty much impossible to pick a headphone at the first attempt as a guess about what you may like better. Anything you pick of the ones that have good reviews is a good start. As far as what you will end up with, you need to try 5-6-10 headsets to select one you like better.
