Hello All!

A Beginner at Overclocking but I think i did a pretty good job. Just wondering if there is anything else i can do to get my temps down a bit.

CPU - i7-3770k
Mobo - ASUS Z77 Sabertooth
Cooler - Antec Kuhler 1250

CPU VCORE - 1.30
Multiplier - 100 x 45
LLC - Extreme
VRM Frequency - 350

Link to RealTemp which is after successfully running IntelBurnTest.

I know there is more information that I would need to provide so please let me know and I will gladly do so.

Thank you!

Do you have an overall CPU temp? That's individual core temp, which is hotter than the CPU temp generally, do you have HWMonitor or SpeedFan? Either would show you the CPu temp as a single measurment with core temps listed below it.

I have 2 GELID 120MM fans pulling in air from the front of my case and 1 Acting as an Exhaust in the back by the CPU. Also the 2 Antec fans on the Radiator pulling out air from the top. I'm running the Antec fans at 1200RPM but I can increase it but it gets loud haha.

Temp inside my Apartment is about 68-70 Degrees.

I just increased the RPM of the Antec fans to 1500 and my temps are 37 38 32 32.

Hey no problem, I'm glad to help. I went back and looked again and I had skipped over your CPU's overclock. At 4.5 GHz, I'd peg you as right where you want to be in terms of thermal performance. You won't get much more out of your cooler, that was my bad. You have a pretty high overclock for that size of a cooler, I would almost say you're pushing it. Your temps are safe, but optimally you'd want your temps in the 25-35 C range. Nothing to worry about though.

I think I did a pretty good job then! Just ran the IntelBurnTest "Very High" and passed with flying colors.

Thank you for your help!

Should I mess with my Offset voltage?

I don't pay as much attention to ram timings as I used to, higher timings are less important as size increases because there is more ram to search through. Lower is obviously better, but 10-10-1027 should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Been doing some thinking. Should I set my LLC to Ultra High and up my vcore voltage by a little? Right now LLC is on Extreme and I'm thinking that could be why my temps are so high. Any Suggestions would be great. When I run an Intel burn test my temps spike to almost 90 Celsius.

A burn test is made to push our CPU temps way up. 90 degrees is a pretty good temperature for a full load, you won't get much of a better temp without a serious upgrade to your watercooling efforts. I wouldn't mess around too much with voltage, your temps aren't high by any means.

Also ignore the Ram timings comment, I think I wrote it in the wrong thread...

Just go give an update I managed to reduce the voltage down to 1.28v which helped lower my voltage a tad bit. All in all I think i'm pretty happy.
