Probably should've posted this before buying all the components, but I hate waiting. Okay, so I'm typing this thread for some insight/hindsight about the components I bought for my first actual powerhouse PC. I was nervous and hand-picked every individual part for this build. Everything works and runs fine, other than questionable temperatures. I understand Core Temp isn't 100% accurate. I bought, a FX-9590 because I'm an AMD fan-boy, a H75 Corsair Liquid Cooler, a XFX R9 290, Kingston HyperX Fury 1866MHz 16GB Memory Kit, a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 (Rev 4.0), a Ultra 100 Watt X4 Special Modular Edition, WD Blue 1TB HD, two AF120 Blue LED case fans, and an Antec Eleven Hundred V2 Case. Any unlisted parts are the misc network adapter and the DVD Drive. I have the cooler radiator mounted on the top front most fan slot with a fan pulling air into the radiator. Behind that is one of the A120 fans. Another A120 is on the right side of the case, the non see through side, blowing air away from the motherboard. The stock case fan on the back blows air out. I'm posting this because I'm fairly new to worrying about PC temperatures. As I'm typing this, Core Temp claims I'm at 7 degrees Celsius. This is while i have an outside fan used for my room pointed at the clear side of the case. When I turn off the fan, the temp rises up by 10 degrees. When i boot into the BIOS the core temp is 47-50 degrees or so last time I looked. I believed it until i googled around and found people saying that's impossible. When playing Far Cry 4 the temp reached about 62 degrees C, just playing for half an hour. Playing Tera brings it about there as well. Running a Minecraft server and playing on it with a friend topped out at 72 degrees celsius followed by my 290 crashing. First, do I need to add the other fan to the radiator and get a push-pull config going? Second, what specific fans should be pushing and pulling air in the PC in your opinion? Third, did I do anything wrong? No, buying an AM3+ board and the 9590 doesn't count as doing anything wrong.
