The motherboard is still confusing. Either go up to a Crosshair VIII or down to a x570 TUF Gaming.

Good choice. It's a terrific motherboard. That's about the sweet spot before you start getting into diminishing returns.

The $250-$300 range is just so awkward this generation since so many of them really offer very little over the $200-250 ones. It's almost as if they didn't have enough features for proper market segmentation, so a lot of these $250 boards are the $200 board with slightly better networking or two more SATA ports or just the post code.

HX1000i has more PCIe , SATA and MOLEX connectors, ussually a bit cheaper, has better 80% efficiency with the HX1000i being 80% Platinum certified, while EVGa G3 is 80% Gold certified.
I'd go for the HX1000i, but 1000W is still overkill for that build, but if yoi have the money go for it.

The Supernova P2 would be the closest thing to the HX series Corsair. By its very naming, G2/3 etc were Gold class efficiency psus, not Platinum class efficiently. You'd be looking at the RMx/RMi Corsair's for equivalent psu to the G2/3 (and still not quite as good)

HX series, hands down is the better psu, at least 1 step up in every catagory psus are rated in, regardless of wattage.

Ok so the HX1000i isn’t available at reasonable prices, so my next resort is to look for other things to 1000W Power Supplies. I am well aware I do not need a 1000w PSU, but I would still like to get one. Some PSU’s I’ve considered are the: ASUS ROG Strix 1000W and Corsair RM1000x (2021). Any other suggestions or comments?

I'm running a 3700x / 2070Super / 32Gb full custom loop on a 600w Corsair SF-600 (half the physical size or smaller than a standard ATX psu) , which pretty much gets almost exactly the same power consumption as your setup, if not a little more. The fan never runs except at boot, because the power draw simply isn't there to create enough heat to make the psu turn the fan on.

You have 0 need for a 1000w monster psu, you can easily power a 65w 5600x, 100w pc and 210w gpu on a 550w psu. A Corsair 650w RMx is more than enough, but if you insist on Platinum ratings, the 850w HX will be boss.

You can always go 1000w, just be aware you'll be paying for over 500w of headroom that will never see usage, just wasted money.

Yeah, that is true, but I think I would like to go for those extra 500 watts with a 1000W Power Supply. Now, I have to decide between two: 1. ASUS ROG Strix 1000W OR 2. Corsair RM1000x (2021).

Corsair 1000W: $190

The Asus Thor is a Seasonic Prime Ultra base with some minor and cosmetic modifications which includes a small oled screen which some ppl like. I'd not want to spend that much money just to have the psu tell me I'm only using a 1/3rd of what I paid for no matter how much I punish the pc.

I see. The ASUS one actually isn’t the Thor, because that is incredibly overpriced and I won’t even be able to see the screen. I did end up going with the normal Strix 1000G.
