New HP 7510 Inkjet won't connect to wireless network

My printer will not connect to my wireless network. It offers to connect, whirrs around for ages and then fails each time. The blue WiFi light always flashes and is never solid but I do not know what to do to resolve. HPs site is more or less useless so grateful for some help please?

Is there a password on your wireless network that you didn't enter in the printer?

Yes, password is required and I'v entered it correctly but no luck. Also tried the automated way and same result - won't connect. The printer recognised the network, accepts the p/word, tries to connect and fails every time........

first try to take off your password on the router see if it connect without any issues. if it connects without a password see if the router firmware is up to date. if it is try wep key and not a wpa key see if it works. if there no connection i would email hp eng support see if anyone did any firmware updates. sound like a firmware bug.
