I recently built a new computer and noticed that it wasn't running very smoothly. So I used the Passmark PerformanceTest and CPU-Z to run some cpu benchmarks. I booted my computer, used task manager to close a bunch of background programs, then ran several tests.
CPU-Z gave me a single core performance about the same as my lenovo ultrabook with a dual core 1.6 GHz CPU. A single 3.7 GHz core should outperform a single 1.6 GHz core, right? The multicore score was a bit better than my laptop, but that's probably because of the hyperthreading.
After several Passmark benches, I never got a score over 3500. The average score is 5700.
I have windows 10 installed on an SSD.
Here are my other specs.

I don't have the Video Card installed yet.
Another cause of the problem could be my windows 10. I downloaded it onto a usb from the microsoft website, but it took an hour or two to download. The download could have been interrupted and I just need to reinstall windows. But I have linux Mint installed on my other SSD and it doesn't seem to be running very smoothly either.
