Single fan gpu's are a really bad idea unless you have a small case and must vent the gpu heat directly. Will never, ever, own another one.

What resolution/refresh are you running and what else are you doing? Seems unbalanced towards the cpu, unless the goal is to leave cpu in a long time and replace gpu about mid-life of cpu.

Unless you got a really good deal I think the asus board is about $40 over the sweet spot ($150). Only worth it if you want to squeeze another 100-200mhz on the overclock.

I'll let first buyers test it and ill go for 8th gen a year from now ones bugs-free is certain. I included I did not want any suggestions on the thread and that's what you do first?

It is also in a completely different league.
I know MSI has its fans, but they'll never come even close to an ASUS board.

I'm using the Z270E myself (hover mouse over avatar to see build specs), and it is a superior mobo.
Don't go for second (or third or fourth) best, only to save 60 bucks on the "central command" of your machine.

Cheers,
Gaius
