[SOLVED] new idle fan stop feature in evga geforce rtx2060 sc ultra

bought evga geforce rtx 2060 sc ultra 8 gig card a new card.. Has fan stop feature at idle or low game activity. this is new feature so will my card will remain cool. anybody like this new feature and card is 419 dollars.

It works fine. Under non-gaming conditions the fans don't even need to run in most cases. The fan will only stop if the temperature is below a certain threshold anyhow unless you change the fan curve to something ridiculous so it should not be a problem at all. So long as the fans turn on before the GPU thermal diode reaches somewhere around 60-70°C and max temperatures don't exceed maybe 85°C, it is fine.

ok thanks. only if gets too hot will use msi after burner to adjust speed . Sure it is wont. just curious by fan curve do you mean using this program to change % . also what do you thing of this card

What resolution are you planning to game at and what are the rest of your hardware specifications?

At 1080p, the SC Ultra 2060 is plenty capable. That card can actually handle 1440p at high settings for all but the most demanding games.
