[SOLVED] New installation

I just did a new windows installation on my new pc
But windows 10 pro starts up so slow, it almost takes a minute to get to my windows screen

Asus TUF B450-PRO GAMING moederbord
AMD Ryzen 5 3500X processor
G.Skill DDR4 Ripjaws-V 2x8GB 3200Mhz
A-DATA XPG SX8200 Pro internal solid state drive M.2 1000 GB PCI Express 3.0 3D TLC NVMe

Did i do something wrong in my bios maybe
I changed the XMP for my memory but do i have to do something for my disk

where is it slow, before or after logon screen?

First you see the screen of the motherboard that one goes fast
But then you see the windows logo and there you can see it loading and this takes very long

it doesn't sound like its a bios problem since flash screen so fast, more likely a driver needs updating

I only did an update of my bios so i'll try to update my drivers too

Is AHCI enabled for your SATA controller? On asus it should in the BIOS under Advance Mode>Advance>SATA Mode Selection
See what its set to there if its RAID or IDE try AHCI

m.2 doesn't use AHCI, and there aren't any ADATA NVME drivers, I just looked - https://www.adata.com/lt/download/583

any extra parts attached to PC? One reason it can be slow is windows is waiting for something to respond before it moves on.

try turning this off - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html - you don't need it with nvme and also, the start up logs aren't created if its on. Maybe we can see something from them.

I only suggested AHCI because the IDE controllers on the 2 TUF boards I had wouldn't boot correctly and AHCI fixed my issue. There's also ADATAs SSD Toolbox, I've had good luck in the past with an Ultimate SU800. But Colif is a bit more educated on this for sure.

i thought it might show times, and maybe a clue as to which driver it stops on.

it didn't like loading directX on about 5 occasions - you might want to update GPU drivers. << looking further this seems to be cause of slow boots, other people have reported same.
fixes include
update GPU driver
stop fast startup - done.

another file not loaded is related to Networking so try updating LAN/WIFI drivers (which ever you use/have)

so it looks like its the Catalyst drivers giving you the problem. Try running DDU and use older drivers maybe?

I almost found it
It was one of my old Hdd but now i have another problem
according to my disk management my system is on one of my hdd instead of M.2 disk
but it's for 100% on my M.2 disk

I have to guess hdd was in pc when you installed onto M.2? it normally helps to only have the drive you want windows in PC to stop windows doing that.

if systeem = system, then C is the boot partition/ Active also means its boot partition. It should be booting off this

oh, i see where i went wrong, i was assuming I could see all the drives in the bottom section
Your 2tb drive is the boot drive. the one marked Opslag

so if you installed with the hdd in, its why boot is so slow now. its using that to boot an m.2. we both know thats not right
