Hello dear forum, i've recently brought a M.2 Kinston 1tb, i've been using 1 SSD for windows and 2 HDD for games and other stuff. I've installed the M.2, and one of my two HDD is missing. I've asked one of my friends what could be the issue and he told me i have to activate it from bios, i've looked everywhere for the ATA or SATA to turn on but i can;t find it. I have a Gigabyte B450 elite v2. Could someone explain to me why only one of my 2 HDD is working?

Thank you!

It could be that you've installed the M.2 SSD in a particular slot that disables SATA connectors, as in some motherboards. Try plugging your HDD in another slot. I did a test build on PCPartPicker, and it says that when a M.2 is installed then two SATA ports will be disabled. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/r9BNZw

I've installed it on the m.2 slot that's from the second pci, should i install it on the one that's on the first pci where my gpu is connected?

It doesn't matter which, since for the motherboard, installing it in either socket will disable two SATA ports. Just try connecting your HDD to another port.
