I just received a new 2TB Samsung drive, now rebranded as Seagate, and I'm having issues with my computer recognizing it. I connected it to my computer internally and externally, but it's showing up as a unknown device either way. When I connect it both ways, the computer discovers it and states that the most up to date driver is installed. I can see it in my Device Manager and in Bios, but it is not listed in Computer Management, with my other Storage Devices.

I'm looking everywhere for a new driver on the net, but I'm getting the run around, now that Samsung no longer supports this product. Seagate doesn't have any internal legacy Samsung drivers listed either. I cannot format the drive, since it's showing up as an unknown.

The product is ST2000DL004 (Seagate) HD204UI (Samsung). Any ideas?

Never mind. I finally found it listed in Disk Management. It wasn't listed with my other storage devices above. I had to right click the drive below and create a new volume. Wow, I could have wasted a lot of time with that.
