Hi, I have AT&T gigapower and I had it installed yesterday. When the guy left I was getting speeds that I should be getting and what I'm paying for (about 150-220 Mbps up and down) however after I use my internet and watch YouTube for about 10 minutes my speeds fall off of a cliff. It dropped to 40 down and 5 up. Now consistently I get in the 40 range and I know my provider hasn't capped me Bc when I test my internet after it hasn't been used in a long time the speeds are great. It's just when I actually use it the speeds aren't even close to being what they should be. What could this issue be? Also, I tested my wired connection and it was either the same or slower than when I tested my internet wireless which is obviously messed up my gaming setup is all hard wired and I need the top speed I can get which I'm not getting (not even close). Sorry for the rant just frustrated! Any replies are SUPER appreciated. Thanks!

Call the guy/company and complain. They should come back and help you out. No reason why they shouldn't. It could be the time you use it. Normally, more people use the internet after work, so the speeds will drop. Probably not as drastically as yours, but it could happen.
Well the way traditional lined internet works is the further you are from the connection box, the slower the speed. Though gigabyte power should be using fiber optics. I'd contact att see whats going on. Well if its 1 gigabit then you should be getting 125 megabytes. But i'm pretty sure its a gigabyte of data transfer speed.
