I prefer to use wired connection from my ISP's router to my desktops. Their router only has one 10baseT output connector so I distribute through a swith. If I just plug one workstation directly into their router I get full advertised speed to that computer 950 mb/sec as measured with speedtest.net but if I go through the switch, I only see about 100 mb/sec. I've tried several switches Netgear ProSAFE FS105, GOALAKE POE104D, and a NORTEL BES 120-48T-PWR Is this normal? Do I need to purchase an expensive switch? One of my workstations has WI-FI and when I use that, I get about 250 mb/sec. Thanks for any help. Jim
PS: I never measured my speeds on my old ISP
