So I installed some new parts in my system yesterday, here's a list of the current items and what I replaced
CPU: AMD FX8350 (Replaced FX4300)
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78lmt-usb3
RAM:8gb Adata 1600MHz
GPU: Powercolor Devil r9 270x (Replaced MSI GTX750)
Storage:Toshiba 500gb 7200rpm
Storage: Toshiba 120gb SSD
PSU: EVGA 600b (Replaced Corsair 430w)

Anyways, I installed everything and it booted first time. good right? wrong. 2 hours later after installing all of the drivers, the system randomly shut off.. now when I turn it on the fans spin wildly, and the keyboard, mouse, and monitor dont turn on. I'm not sure what the problem could be, hope you guys can help.

Solution
start by replacing that gtx750 in the machine.

if no go, reset bios to defaults.

barring that, that fx8350 is the top supported cpu of that mobo with a 4+1 vrm setup. i really suspect that the mobo may have crapped out.

try throwing your fx4300 back and see what happens. although if the mobo crapped out then nothing you do will make a difference

its unlikely that the PSU is a culprit.

it may be worth checking to see if youre running the latest bios, though if the 4300 worked fine then the 8350 should too (both are supported with the F3 bios only apparently).

Solution

Well, the problem above isn't happening anymore, but a new issue has arose... My fx8350 is only using 2 of the 8 cores. As for swapping out the GTX750, the r9 270x is in there, I replaced the 750 😛. Also, to put the 4300 back in i'd need thermal paste, which is something I don't have.. and as far as I know I can't reuse?

what i meant was to put the gtx750 back in after taking out the new 270x as to rule out the new card being faulty although it doesnt seem to matter now.

thermal paste isnt exactly reusable, no.

did you do anything that might make it start booting again? seems the only things to rule out now are cpu/mobo/software

im very seriously leaning towards a bad mobo hardware or an issue with the bios.
have you tried resetting the bios to defaults?
