My Logitech G510s is biting the dust after about 12 years, to bad great one with 18 programable G keys. No longer made or I would buy another.

So looking at these 2 one with yellow switches the other with green not sure what to get. Green is supposed to be loud and yellow not but takes less force for the yellow.

Any comments or other suggestions?

EDIT Price is not really a big deal would like to keep it around the $100 area but can go higher.
No palm rest or must be removable.
Must be wired.

Since choosing a KB is personal choice, pick the one you think is best for you.

But for other options, Corsair K70 RGB Pro is also a solid option,

comparison against BlackWidow V4: https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/tools/compare/razer-blackwidow-v4-vs-corsair-k70-rgb-pro/41400/31858

Diff between BlackWidow V4 and V4 X: https://www.xda-developers.com/razer-blackwidow-v4-blackwidow-v4-x/

Corsair K100 RGB is better than K70 RGB Pro (you can compare it on Rtings site as well), but K100 RGB is way out of your budget + then some.

Well nothing is really out of my price range as long as it can be justified for the price.
The last Corsair keyboard I had I smashed in the street in front of my house after sending it in for warranty 2 times for it to only last a couple months then screwed up again. (skipping and repeating key strokes)

i decided to go off script last time and got a non gaming keyboard.

Mines from a smaller brand, Nuphy but its more custom and allowed me to choose different switches - think I have Baby raccoons

they have since updated my model so I won't link to it, as its new. Almost everything improved... I don't feel need to replace this as its still almost perfect one year later.

Razer are an unknown as I don't know how good their new version of Synapse is. That is/was/has been main reason I ignore them.

They were following the habit Logitech used to have, when they were top dogs. They had amazing hardware but the software sucked. Logitech only fixed theirs when they were no longer on top. Seems Razer wants to avoid that... I know it came out of Beta recently but I haven't really tracked how good it is, since I don't buy Razer gear because of it. Not sure I want to risk it, and I currently don't need anything they sell.

I guess I need to research that some then but I would like to avoid buying any Corsair stuff.

EDIT I couldn't deal with the way yours looks LOL, nothing personal.

I looked around for one last year.

I had a corsair keyboard before this one, I was trying to stop using Icue as I found I had 3 parts of my system all using it, and well, my Corsair AIO had just died, so it was a chance to move away. Now I only use it for my ram as my motherboard RGB software can't see the ram sticks.

I avoided Asus keyboards as you need to install Armoury Crate to get drivers and for any changes to settings of keyboards.

Steelseries are okay but I was after a wireless keyboard and they were expensive here.

Could look at Keychron as well, they make custom keyboards as well.

I may have forgotten a few, like all the high end custom makers, and maybe a few OEM.

logitech aren't bad either.

I guess I got spoiled by the 18G macro keys on the left side of my board with 3 different profiles used it for about 12 years LOL was like a way of life on the keyboard. The software just worked. Even had a display on top for CPU and ram usage.

are you specifically looking for extra programmable keys?

if not,
the K70 series is actually some of the best boards i've ever used out of many.
would like to avoid buying any Corsair stuff
why exactly?

i avoid their more expensive pointless products
and i hate using their software for anything,
but i never do for the keyboard(K70 LUX) i use or the mouse(Vengeance M95) i keep with my laptop. just program the necessary buttons/LEDs then uninstall and they stay hard-coded.

i remember those screens.

I had one of these prior to the Corsair K70 RGB I had before this one

that one replaced screen with a spot you could put mobile and use an app to track all the settings. I never bothered.

Then it most likely was issue of the specific model. I wouldn't discard Corsair just because of one bad model.

E.g, surely you've had a bad pizza in your years. But that doesn't mean that all pizzas are bad, right?

As far as Corsair KBs go;
I'm using Strafe RGB with Cherry MX Silent switches. (Sadly this is now EOL.) Still, 7 years later, it still works fine (bought it Q2 2017).
Even survived one spill on it. Well... for a time at least. The "G" key in the middle of KB doesn't work (i reprogrammed it to another key).
Though, over the years, some individual LEDs under some keys stopped working. E.g red LED under F2 and right Shift, and C key shows orange instead of yellow. But that's minor.

My missus has Strafe RGB MK.II with Cherry MX Silent switches. (Also EOL as of now). Her KB is 5 years old (bought Q3 2019) and i haven't heard any complaints about her KB.

Since my Strafe RGB has the G key issue, i did buy Corsair K100 RGB with Corsair OPX switches as a replacement but i haven't bothered to replace my Strafe RGB out yet. I like my Strafe RGB, and it's faults i can live with (after all, Strafe RGB was my very 1st mechanical KB that i bought).

But as far as Corsair mice go, those do have model faults.
Sabre RGB wired - after ~1 year of use, double-click registration of left button. (Happened to 3x mice we both used.)
Nightsword RGB wired - after ~1 year of heavy use, middle button (under the scroll wheel) doesn't register. (Happened to 2x mice i used.)
Dark Core RGB Pro wireless - no faults as of yet.

As of why i suggested K70 RGB Pro, is because it has reviewed very well and over the years, is one of the best (if not the best) KB from Corsair. K95 RGB also reviewed well and many like it too. K100 RGB is latest from Corsair but due to it's steep price (i payed €316.50 for mine), it is hard to suggest it.
