Hi guys,

I have a 4k screen:

I'm getting a new laptop but it has only HDMI 1.4 that can't run 4k/60hz
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/del...aptop/spd/inspiron-15-5510-laptop/nn5510eyvlh

However, it has a Thunderbolt 4.0 with DisplayPort.

The dream is to connect all of the following on that same port:
4k 60hz screen, keyboard/mouse, usb speaker (powered) and ethernet.

Is it doable? I couldn't find the right hub and I don't know whether the hub needs to have DP or HDMI 2.0 port.
I don't want the hub to be too expensive (100 USD max)

Thanks!

If that's all you want to achieve then a much cheaper option would be a simple Thunderbolt-to-DisplayPort cable to connect your new laptop to your monitor.
Sorry for not being clear, I didnt mean only HDMI and nothing else, I meant a usb hub that has HDMI and not display port (but does have other ports).

Anyway, I just got the laptop and used the regular HDMI port, and it handles 4k60hz perfectly.o_Oo_Oo_O

I'm confused - Did Dell lie and give HDMI 2.0 or can HDMI 1.4 can actually do 4k60hz??

Thanks again everybody.
