My new laptop came in yesterday, and since I haven't been able to connect it to WiFi.

I'm able to connect it with and Ethernet cable, and im able to connect it with my phone's wifi hotspot. I might go to a friend's house later and see if I can connect it there.

It seems like it's quite a common problem, ive seen many forum posts and video's but none of them manage to fix my problem. Every time I try to connect it takes quite a while, and it ends up saying 'No internet, Secured'. In the right corner wifi spot there's also a small exclemation mark.

My laptop is a Acer Aspire 7 A715-72G-76WL. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I could also be an issue based on your router settings. Are you sure your using the correct wifi password? Do you have mac address filtering turned on in your router settings? Is wifi turned on in the router? etc. Connect up again with the ethernet cable and log into your router and double check the settings.

One more check - can you access your wifi using your mobile phone?
