New Laptop Constantly Running Fan

Hi

I have a brand new HP Envy 15t-j000 laptop running windows 8.1. I've noticed recently (starting about a week ago) that the fan is constantly running. I have the computer set up in a dust free/debris free area so I don't think that is the problem (although I'm still going to use canned air to clean it).

Is there some sort of software issue it could be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Most laptops have a setting in the BIOS along the lines of 'run fan continuously while on AC power'. Check that.

Is it just running quietly on minimum speed, or is it running flat out?
