So my laptop keyboard has been playing up for a while now, certain keys won’t function when pressed, some do, and sometimes a letter will spam as if it’s being held. Tried unplugging the keyboard, reinstalling driver, no luck.

Attempting to buy another Keyboard but finding it hard to actually find one that’s the same as mine as looking around some are different for my same model.. I’m from the UK

If anyone’s able to help out that would be great.

Attached is some images of the laptop.
Model is a Asus K53S
MB Ver is a K53SD

In your picture you will see those two barcodes. On there should be a part # or a MFG Part #. Can you please provide us with that # to help assist in finding the correct part for your unit?

EDIT: You can also try googling Asus K53S keyboard replacement and there are several options that might be what you are looking for.

I can’t find what i am looking for on the serial numbers, I have sent some closer pictures showing them. I have been doing some research and there is quite a few replacement keyboard but some have different looking connections on the back..

This one looks more like my keyboard but doesn’t state “K53S” in the description and the back connection strip looks a little different?

Maybe this one for £40?

The actual part # is going to be 04GNV32KUK01-3 as well as 9J.N2J82.C0U. The first one is the ASUS part # and the 2nd is a universal #. Here are some replacement options:

So I ordered it and got an email saying
“We are sorry that we only have the US Version.
Can you accept it or prefer a full refund?” What is the US version and would that still be fine?

The UK and US versions of keyboards are so similar you likely won't notice a difference. You might reply back and ask them if the connectors on the end are the same for both versions.

He sent a picture of the US version, few differences, the Enter button is smaller than the one on my keyboard, and a few things are at different places, as for the connection on the back does that look like it would work?
