NEW LAPTOP, OLD LAMP MONITOR

Hello,

I have a new laptop, and an old 19 inch lamp monitor. The quality of my lamp monitor is not very good when I link it to my new laptop (wich have a very nice screen. I have old drivers to enhence the quality on that monitor, but i don't know how it works... should I intall them or it will confise my laptop? is there anything I can do to improve my old monitor resolution ? pls help

Are you talking about an LCD monitor? If so, generally the backlight in such monitors fade over time, so save for replacing the backlight (which is nearly impossible), there isn't much you can do for the old monitor.
