New Laptop Seems to be Using a Lot of Memory

I've just got a MSI GL72M 7REX laptop, and when I use the MSI dragon app it always says it using 30% of the 8gb memory when sitting idle.

Is this normal or is something eating up my memory?

windows is in RAM, windows 10 does some caching to the RAM, that is normal.
my system with a browser open is using 35% also 8GB

my Microsoft edge on my laptop is using about 700mg of memory when idle, but on my pc it only uses about 100mb.

clarification. the app is using 30% of the RAM or it is reporting that 30% of the RAM has been used by everything?
a single app from MSI should not be using over 2GB.

About 30-45% is being used by everything.

ok that's normal with 8GB.
