My Acer Helios Predator 300 recently just died. I've had it for 5 years or so. Any recommendations on a laptop for "some" gaming and one with good CPU for stock market app processing?

Never had a problem with gaming on that Acer besides the 256GB SSD. I'd like to have a 512 this time. Here was the spec's on it.

15.6" Full HD IPS, Intel i7 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD, GeForce GTX 1060-6GB, VR Ready, Red Backlit KB, Metal Chassis, Windows 10 64-bit

I gamed on it but nothing extreme (Far Cry 6 recently) so I'd like for it to be able to at least handle gaming but I'm not hardcore. The acer I had, being 5 years old still handled the games I play with no problem. Stock trading app I mainly use is Webull and it didn't do a horrible job at keeping up with that (feels laggy every now and again)

Budget would be around 800 - 1200 and anywhere that offers a payment plan.

Never been steered wrong coming here for suggestions (loved the Helios Predator when it was suggested) so I thought I'd try again.

I didn't know that the Helios 300 was still a model they update. Anyone that can approve this one for the needs I have?
1189 right now and payment plans of 100 bucks a month for 12 months.

I would expect it to be fine for your stated purpose, especially if you were happy with your other laptop. Being 5 years old I assume that was a i7 7700HQ you had in your laptop? If so the i7 11800H is a significant upgrade in single threaded performance and more than double in...

If so the i7 11800H is a significant upgrade in single threaded performance and more than double in multi-threaded performance. One thing I would do is upgrade the SSD to a 2TB at a later date when there's a sale as you don't get much mileage out of 512GB these days. If you were to find performance issues on your stock app with the new laptop, then you may want to check if RAM is your issue.
