Sorry to ask for help on a first post, but I hope someone may have an idea which could fix my problem.

We have a cable modem and I have recently set up a Linksys WRT54G broadband router which connects directly to my desktop and wirelessly to old laptop via a Linksys network card I purchased at the same time. All that works fine.

However even more recently I have had a new laptop from the Acer Aspire 9500 series delivered, this has an in built wireless card. However I am having serious problems with the connection dropping every 5 to 50 minutes. Which is obviously unacceptable for gaming or pokering for example and just generally annoying anyway.

I presume this means I have some problem with my laptop settings, but unfortunately I havent got the know how about what I should be altering. I wondered if it was a security thing, as I have just made it a secure network, but I'm getting no such problems on my other laptop.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers for the suggestion, but forgive my ignorance. How do I go about accessing these settings. I had thought I'd searched through every possible wireless related setting.
