[SOLVED] New Lenovo yoga 530 running painfully slow

Around 2 weeks ago I bought a Lenovo yoga 530 for mainly photo/video editing and some school stuff but the laptop runs very snappy and responsive for the first hour of using it every day and after an hour of use slows down sygnificentally. I had trouble with turning on music on Spotify because of it. In fact when im writing this the pc has a hard time keeping up. At this point im consitering just refunding the laptop and going back to my gtx 950m i5-6200u 6gb ram laptop.
The pc Specs are:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700U
8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 2400mhz
512 GB SSD - (M.2) PCIe - NVM Express
AMD Radeon RX Vega 10

what the ram/ssd usage?
malware scan?

Found the issue: The new windows update where cortana was taking anywhere from 20 to 90% of my cpu performance.
