Hello, I have an MSI Z270 SLI PLUS motherboard. I've been using this build for 3 years with a sata SSD and 3 sata HDDs. I recently upgraded to an NVMe M.2 SSD as my main drive. After cloning, it took a while to get the computer to recognize the M.2. I had to re-seat it multiple times and tried both slots on the motherboard. It's currently in the top slot with no issuse booting or using the main drive, however, my PC likes to drop two of my 3 HDDs. Sometimes all three show on startup, sometimes they're already missing. When I try to use one of the drives that like to disappear, my computer hangs, then explorer closes, then the drives disappear.

Yes, I am aware that the M.2 can disable sata ports. I have tried different ports, and they are disabled as the manual says they will be, so I'm sure I have them in the correct slots currently. Any ideas why they would be peacing-out like this?

Solution
Try downloading a program called Hard Disk Sentinel to test the health of your 3 HDD's.
