So I just built my first PC:
GPU:EVGA GTX1070 FE
MOBO: Asus z170a
PSU:EVGA 750W 80+ Gold.
So after I installed everything, then powered it on, the monitor showed no signal. I've tried replace all psu cables, tried using a different pci-e slot, tried with one RAM in all different slots, and use a different monitor. Finally I tried taking the battery out from MOBO for 20 min! Now, the monitor will turn on without a GPU installed and only via VGA cable (not working with HDMI), but my GPU doesn't have VGA port. I was going to use a VGA-HDMI converter but the manual says "please do not connect to 'DVI to VGA' adapter." since I can go to the BIOS without my GPU installed, I tried set the primary to pci-e and others, save and exit. Then it will just reboot and goes back to AUTO. I really don't know what to do now. btw the gpu lights up and fans are spinning, just no signal..

ill try that tonight. but it is weird that my monitor shows signal via VGA on my MOBO, nothing when HDMI plugged in.

It has ports for 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, 1 VGA, 1 Audio In, and 1 Optical Audio Out.

HDMI is just not working...even on my MOBO. I heard that drivers need to be downloaded for using HDMI, I haven't tried that yet. No beeps from the MOBO neither any red lights.
