New MB second HD not showing up

Hi

I have just replaced my faulty (possibly shorted) MB (Asus P8Z77-V LX2) for a new replacement. I previously had 2 hard drives installed, a Samsung 120gB SSD main drive and a 2tb Seagate Sata drive, when i power the pc on now the 2tb Seagate Sata drive is not detected in my computer or bios?

I have plugged the HD into a different sockets but to no avail..... The machine is a new build, approx 3 months old so all hard drives are basically new.

Any help most appreciative.

Hi Lowey,

Do you have the opportunity to test the hard drive on another computer?
Perhaps an external drive enclosure could help.

It looks like your Harddrive got damaged from the looks of it.

Hi Gabor, thanks for your reply, i will try that. I have a Apricorn DriveWire Universal Hard Drive Adapter to connect to my laptop but on previous attempts on using this usb connection i could only get IDE drives to show up on my laptop but not sata (a different sata drive that is) so i may have to get an external enclosure to test it.
