Now generally I like to stick to a brand I know, but it seems that Corsair has been shipping crap modules to newegg lately.

Is this just a case of "he who finds the problem bitches the loudest" or is Corsair really slipping?

Basically, I have about a 270 USD budget and I need to find 800mhz memory for my new bad axe 2 mobo. Jonny from JonnyGuru.com said that he has the Corsair stuff plugged into his and all is good, but I am still open to other suggestions since I haven't made the purchase yet.

I think that besides Corsair I'm looking at either OCZ or Crucial memory.

Here is some of the stuff I'm considering-

Corsair stuff, given thumbs up by Jonny

The OCZ stuff that my dad has plugged in, so also a thumbs up

Some Crucial stuff I'm considering

So, thoughts?

(any comments on the mobo would be nice too. I'm getting the upgrade for a B-Day present, so suggestions for a different board don't mean much this time around. Comments on the board in general would be much appreciated though)

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys.

With about 1/20th the members and in the first couple of hours I filled up a few pages worth of responses at JonnyGuru. If anyone else is looking for help, I'd stop over there.

I know that intel motherboard are picky in what memories you put into them. I believe that corsair is not sending bad sticks to newegg. If you are having trouble with corsair go with something else. Go to intels website and see what ram memory they recommend for your motherboard.

Good luck.
