Hello
I think I have a very weird problem which I tried solving for the past 3 days with no luck.
I have spent a lot of time on this forum and google searching for the solution but none work.
My problem
I have bought a new stick of ddr3 4gb ram to upgrade my pc to 8gb
the problem is the new ram never works even when I try it alone without combining it with the old 4gb ram..
every slot I put the ram in to gives me another error
for example I place it in the blue color, the pc infinite loop reboots. I put ut in the black slot, the pc just freezes on the mobo screen pick. I then place it in the 2nd blue or black slot and it gives me the blue screen with many errors which 1 of them is irql not less or equal.
tried to run memtest86 but it freezes and doesn't go beyond 1 second
Note: ram works on another pc just to make sure its a working ram and not a faulty one
Things I have tried
updating bios
changing the freq 800 1066 1333
changing voltage 1.35 1.5 1.6
removed gpu and used the mobo gpu
changed hdd sata ports
removed mobo battery
removed cmos jumper
switched ram around all 4 slots and mixed around with other ram
enabled disabled things in bios
formated windows and made a fresh install
so no matter what I try it just doesn't want to boot.. its either blue screen, freez or infinite boot loop
the ram is also the same model as the old 1
Ram: mushkin model 991995 pc3-12800 9-9-9-24 1.5v 4gb ddr3
Mobo: Asus p7h55-m pro
windows 7 64bit
so what is the problem here?
the ram is not faulty but it just doesn't want to work on my pc no matter what I do while the old memory works fine without any problems
I really hope someone can help me here because this issue is driving me insane
