Question New memory

I have an Asrock Z370 Pro motherboard. I wanted to install some faster memory so I purchased a Kingston 16GB D4-3600U C17-19-19. To my surprise, only one memory card was delivered that is labeled 16gb. Will it work and is it a good or bad idea to have a single memory card? It was listed on ASRock's suggested memory for the motherboard.

Because it is intel, it doesnt matter, but i would always take 2x 8gb ram sticks over one ram stick

Why does it not matter? My thinking is that two memory sticks will perform better than a single.

I think he means the speed, although it does make a difference its not as large of a difference as with Ryzen.

But yes return it and buy a dual channel kit.
