Hi, I wanted to know if it would be good idea to upgrade my current rig to following -

Current
Cpu - I3 540
Gpu- gtx 750
mobo - dh55tc (very old)
ram - 4gb

Wanted to know if I can upgrade to A320 mobo, and ryzen 5 2400g keeping all other components same. Thanks

Solution
Since you already have a gtx 750 GPU, is counterproductive to get Ryzen 5 2400g APU which has a RAdeon GPU.
Go with the Ryzen 5 2600 (better performance) and a B450 motherboard.
You cannot re-use DDR3 RAM, you will have to get new DDR4 RAM.

Solution
Yes, they will work together, but not efficiently.
If you already have a GPU (gtx 750), there is not point getting an APU like the Ryzen 5 2400g.
Ryzen 5 2400g has an integrated GPU, and it is aimed at system that do not have a dedicated GPU.

If you're on a budget and living close to Micro Center I'd go in and get a Ryzen 5 1600. They're selling them (in store only) for $80!! If you bundle it with a motherboard you get $30 off a motherboard. I went in on Friday and got the CPU with a B450 mATX motherboard for $110 total!
