New mobo and cpu can i use my old hdd

Ok so im upgrading my pc soon and i have a hdd with all my stuff on it including windows and i wanted to know if i can just fresh install windows 10 onto the ssd im getting then plug in my old hdd so i still have all my data , games etc

Hey there, BlazedPixel.

All your data and installed programs should still be there. However, it's possible for some games or other programs not to run properly, especially if you remove the Windows associated partition, because a lot of game create their own folders with save data, settings etc. in the User Folder. Other than that if the drive i s healthy, everything should be accessible to you.
Make sure that you disconnect all other drives (besides the SSD) during the Windows installation process, to avoid future possible errors and problems.
