new mobo/cpu bsod

Hi all,

Have just upgraded my old AMD config to the following;

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 1600x
Mobo - Gigabyte Aorus AX370 Gaming K7
Memory - G.Skill Fortis DDR4 F4 2133C15D-16GFT

Have kept my previous Samsung 850 EVO SSD and same case, PSU, CD-Rom drive etc.

All went together fine but. Fired up ok into the BIOS with USB based Keyboard and mouse working fine in BIOS, exited BIOS and Win7 BSOD comes up a few seconds into the windows graphic.

Back into BIOS and changed to boot from Windows CD which it does and I get into the Win install screen but the keyboard and mouse have lost power so I cannot interact with the windows install screen.

I have gone back and rechecked all connections but no difference.

Any suggestions on why the keyboard/mouse turns off?

I have a spare new Samsung 850 SSD to do a fresh install of Windows on if need be but end up n the same spot - at the install screen with no power to keyboard/mouse.

Pulling my hair out after a few hours of net searching. Any ideas?

You didn't try to use the old PC's Win7 installation with the new PC did you? You did a clean install of the OS with the new PC, right?
