My old mobo died, so I decided to replace with a new mobo/cpu. I subsequently did a clean install of windows 10 (followed the guide), including formating everything in my hdd. I thrn updated all drivers.
However, I feel my boot time is slow. It feels like it takes about a minute each time, and I recall my brand new pc then used to boot in less than half of that. Am I bring unreasonable or is there something I'm missing?
My specs are
SKYLAKE Desktop Motherboard : gigabyte b450 aorus pro wifi
SKYLAKE DESKTOP CPU : amd ryzen r5 3600
CPU Cooling System (Desktop) : Standard Stock Fan Cooling (CPU)
GRAPHICS CARD (DESKTOP) : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5
Random Access Memory (RAM) (Desktop) : 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz (8GB x 1)
PSU: aurum s 600w
First Hard Drive (Desktop) : TOSHIBA 1TB 3.5 INCH HDD (Buffer Size
32MB)
Any idea what's causing the slow boot times? I read something about getting an ssd to install Windows, and use the hdd for storage. Will this solve my problem? Thanks.
