new mobo+cpu first boot ad installing windows 8.1

Hey forums
I just upgraded my processor and mobo and i need to put windows 8.1! I know how to do this but since i had windows seven on my hard drives is that going to affect the installation at all?

If you'll be doing a clean install everything will be wiped so it shouldn't be a problem.

ok so ive got the usb in the computer i put the product key in and then it tells me to restart the process and put the media driver back in. so it keeps putting me on a loop now what?

When you mean loop, it just asks to restart and you have to enter you product key in again?
