Is it possible to get a new motherboard and a new processor and still boot from the operating system on a hard disk? I heard it can be done but you have to delete the drivers for the old motherboard? Will there be any issues? Thanks
Some people manage to do it. To be honest, a clean install is always the way to go. Just backup the important stuff and go ahead.-
I do music so that's a ton of backing up. Plus files saved under the operating system won't open correctly in a new clean install, that's why I ask if it's possible to keep the same operating system.
Thats asking for problems, in my opinion. Not worth the future struggle
It's asking for problems using the hard drive to boot into Windows? Or backing up the 3 tb of files. My processor is extremely outdated i7 920... I at least need a 6700k with a new motherboard.
