Question New modem and router for xfinity internet

Hi. I'm planning on buying a modem and a router instead of renting a gateway.

Routers:
TP-Link - Archer AX20 AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router
NETGEAR - Nighthawk R7000 AC1900 WiFi Router
Modem:
ARRIS - SURFboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
ARRIS - SURFboard S33
Motorola MB8611

Currently i have 600mbps plan but i want a future proof setup. I'm expecting these devices to last at least 5-10 years and by that time i'm guessing we'll have more speed. I'm just a casual gamer/internet user and i don't want to keep messing around with the modem/router.

concerns:
  • heat
  • noise
  • software reliability
any thoughts on these?
any comments and recommendations are welcome. Thank you.

UPDATE 1:
Did some more research and i'm leaning towards motorola mb8611 and ASUS AX3000.

Hmm, maybe go after something that supports 2.5Gbps ethernet if you care about that. At some point if they exceed 1Gbps on your connection, then your router won't help much there since its connection to the modem will be 1Gbps.

Then again, I have 500Mbps service with 1Gbps available, I can't see needing much more than either of those speeds in the next ten years.

I'm thinking of getting at least 1.2gbps to have rooms for improvement if ever we reach that speed in the future.

Ensure that the modem and the router that you select are supported by Xfinity.

Otherwise any problems will likely be blamed on your equipment.

Use Ethernet for as many connected devices as possible vs. wireless.

My main use is to have wired connection for my PC and others are on wifi (phones, tablets, tv). Xfinity doesn't have any list of certified routers though, only modem and gateway.
