New modem wont connect xbox live

Hello,
i just moved and got a new cable provider so naturaly a new router as well. when i first plugged everything in it had me do an update, it gets halfway done and comes up with an error code that says "cant download the update and to test my connection." i test the connection and it says everything is good and at the end of it it prompts me to download the update again and same thing happens yet again it is a never ending cycle i cant find anyway to fix this so any help would be appreciated

Try Setting everything in the network settings manually then revert them to automatic if it didn't work
