[SOLVED] New Monitor | 1080p 21:9 HDR, 1080p 16:9 144hz, 1440p or 2160p?

Hello, i need to buy a new monitor, but i don't know what buy. I've find this 1080p 21:9 monitor LG 29WK600, but is a great choice? Or i buy a 144hz monitor? With my hardware, i can go even with a 1440p monitor but the scaling is good? I use the monitor for gaming, but even for watch tv series, film, anime etc

I always suggest 1440p for gaming. Much sharper image than 1080p but still easy to achieve good frames with. Unless you specifically want a high refresh rate gaming experience for games like CS:GO 144Hz is sort of a gimmick especially since in most cases the majority of games you play will not getting enough frames to matter. Since that build is good but not amazing it is easily 1440p ready but 4k would struggle

I've tried to play in 4k using resolution scale or dsr, only for see the performance. It's not terrible (with non shooter games). With a 4k monitor, i can downscale to 1080p? If yes, how is the quality? Same of a native 1080p monitor or is blurry? Also, i've found this monitor, LG 27UL500 is 4k hdr but is 27", is ok for 2160p?

So monitors are best run in their native resolution but can always be downscaled if needed. As for size and resolution here is a very simplified and rather subjective guide.

1080P will look bad above 24in

1440p will look bad above 36in

4k will look bad above 50ish inches

all this assumes the same view distance, 1-3ft (30-90cm), and refers only to gaming.

In my opinion and remember this is just my opinion, the sweet spot for gaming monitors is 27-32in for 16:9 and no wider than 40 for ultrawides. beyond that it will take up so much of your visual field that you will not be able to easily focus on the whole screen at once from a normal desk view distance.
