Looking to get a new monitor

what do you think of this ?

I mainly use it for FPS gaming so really want the higher refresh rates

is 27" too big for a 1080 monitor ?

27" is not to big, i have a 1080p 27" and 1440p 27" monitor, and they are absolutely fine, in some games they look the same as 1440p (image is stretched).

The monitor you linked is a great choice, highly recommend.

Anything lower than 4-5ms is worthless, btw. It's just a random selling point to ship cheaper panels. The human eye physically cuts off around ~100-150 fps, and 5ms is 250 fps. 1ms would require 1000 fps to utilize it fully. Obviously a 144hz monitor physically can not get near 1000 fps, it locks at 144.

But yes, BenQ generally makes good monitors and that one is one of the better TN panels. I doubt you would be disappointed if you're switching from another TN panel.

27" is cutting it really close for 1080p. You should be fine though, just run good antialiasing.

It's expensive. I suppose that's to do with having 144Hz refresh rate. I'm not that into gaming where I'm dissatisfied with my 60Hz monitor. If you sit back from the monitor, then 27 in is probably a good idea. But if not too far away, then 24 in would be my choice.
