I've been looking around for a solid PC monitor, after coming to the realization that what I'm currently using is the equivalent of dogshit.

That been said, does anyone carry any suggestions for a high end monitor, and is somewhere in the ballpark of 25" [Give or Take an in or two].

Will primarily will be used for gaming and such. Thanks.

first thing to do would be reading the monitor guide we have stickied in perepherals. manofchalk and i have spent quite a bit of time explaining all of the basics of monitors there. its not done yet but it provides a wealth of information.

what is your budget?
what are your system specs, what games do you play and at what resolution?
what are your system upgrade plans?
what aspect ratio do you want?

personally i'd suggest a good quality PLS or H/S/P-ips panel at 1080p and led backlighting. i prefer image quality over response time.

the other route is to go with a 120hz tn panel and sacrifice image quality for more frames per second which results in a smoother video flow.

depending on your budget you may want to look at 2560x...

depending on your budget you may want to look at 2560x monitors but realize that they place additional strain on your gpu in games and you may need to upgrade more often to keep using maximum settings which is why i asked for your upgrade plans.

if you also watch movies and have the space another option would be a mid sized tv.
