New monitor black border when playing games

Hi, i bought a Benq HD 2420 24" with widescreen and 1980 X 1020 resolution. I solved the black frame on my desktop by simply setting overscan to 0 but gets the same frame reappearing when playing company of heroes tales of valor. I set the game resolution to 1980 X 1020 but to no avail. Please help! Thanks

Once you set the overscan to 0, I had to go into the HDTV settings and click "Add" for a new format for it to save the settings. Try that.

n the monitor settings make sure you have the correct 16:9 aspect ratio set. maybe play around with monitor settings. the resolution also should be 1920x1080 not 1980x1020.
