[SOLVED] New monitor, budget $1000-$1500, 21:9 or 32:9

I'm looking at a new monitor to dual purpose for CAD and gaming. I am having trouble deciding on a few things. First is curve or no curve. It's a wide monitor so a curve makes sense, but I am worried about distortion. Second 2160 or 1440. The height will be equivalent to a 27" 16:9 monitor. 1440 is more ideal for gaming, but 2160 is more ideal for design.
Right now I am looking at 34" monitors from Alienware, Msi, and LG. Or a 48" from Samsung with a VA panel.

I'd stick with 21:9 for best game compatibility (not all games even support 21:9).

I have a 27" 16:9 curved monitor for gaming and since I'm working from home now, cad also. No issues with distortion.
