i am buying a monitor but cant think of a resolution to go with 1440p or 1080p both 60-75 hz i would like to use my monitor for a good few years what should i go with.1440p is expensive but enough to afford.1080p is easily available to me.also i cant afford more than a 75hz monitor in my country way too expensive

What graphics card do you currently have? No sense in buying a 1440p monitor if your graphics card can't push that many pixels.

If you are running anything less than a 1070, you're going to have a hard time at 1440p depending on what you play, a 1060 will do fine with older games but if you can't afford more than a certain monitor you probably don't have the GPU power to run 1440p. So I would go with 1080p.

as for the gpu ill be going with two r9270x 4gigs.my reason to buy 1440p was future proofing beacuse in my opinion 1080p will die in 2 years(i am pretty sure i am worng)

1080p will become what 720p is now, which is really the budget HD monitor. 1080p is really the standard but the standard is quickly moving to 1440p, but first I think 4k must become a more affordable platform, as it is now you need a TON of very expensive equipment to game well at 4k, but they are coming out with new 4k HDR 144Hz panels that will most likely take the most desired display crown and force the advancement of GPU technology to be able to handle that resolution and RR at an affordable level (right now you would need about 2 Titan XP's ($1200 each; $2400 total just in GPU's) to get anywhere near 144Hz at 4k). You're probably right that in about 2 years 720p will be completely obsolete except in the lowest budget settings. But as it stands now I believe 1080p is still the most popular resolution to play in simply because the best 1080p monitors are still WAY cheaper than the best 1440p.

It won't go away for quite a while I think.
