I recently purchased a Dell AW3225QF Monitor and it's working fantastic with my DP cable and desktop PC. Flawless OLED performance, 120hz, etc. My Dell Latitude 7410 work laptop, however, won't allow me to use the monitor at anything over 30hz. When I select 60hz, the monitor will go black, displays the "Scanning for signal..." message, reloads the screen correctly, and then loops back to a black screen after a second or two. It just keeps going like this, I let it do this for around 5 minutes to see if it just needed to buffer or something, but it just continues looping like that.
I confirmed that the HDMI port on the laptop is HDMI 2, I am using the brand new HDMI cable that came with the monitor. I also tested with my various other HDMI 2 cables I have lying around but they all gave the same problem.
I confirmed that it's not the port on the monitor itself, as my PS5 works just fine using the same port. The monitor has the most recent firmware already installed. I've scoured the internet looking at various forums and videos online but nothing has helped so far. Anyone have any ideas how I can get 60hz to use this monitor as an extended display for my laptop?
