new monitor not detected

Just got a new monitor but seem to be having a problem getting it detected in windows 7. The monitor I have is an AOC G2460PG 144hz g-sync monitor that only supports a displayport connection. I've got two display port cables and at the moment windows doesn't detect that the monitor even exists. I have the monitor connected up to my gtx 780ti that worked fine with the dvi connection i had it on with my old monitor. Not sure if anyone else has this problem or knows how I might fix the issue. Any feedback on this issue would be hugely appreciated.

Ok I fixed the issue... The problem must have been that I wasn't plugging the displayport cable properly into the monitor because when I applied considerably more force into the input it clicked like I guess its supposed to.

Saved me too man, spent like 4 hours going through posts about drivers and power settings being wrong. Kinda annoys me that it was something as trivial as this but none the less thanks buddy.
