Hi,

I'm looking for a new monitor. Right now I'm using a 22 inch monitor (Samsung S22B350H). I want to upgrade my monitor to 27 inch.
I use my computer for multitasking, like Excel, internet, looking some television. I don't need a monitor to play games that uses a lot of graphics. The processor for my computer is AMD Ryzen 5 3400G.

I'm in doubt what monitor I need to buy. Would I go for Quad HD, or 4K? The monitor needs a Vesa Mount.

This QHD monitors I'm looking for:
AOC Q2790PQU/BT
Samsung LC27JG50QQU

4K:
AOC U2790PQU
Samsung LU28R550UQU
Samsung U28E590DS

What is the best choice for my situation?

QHD because it gives you high refresh rates and doesn't require a $700 GPU to push decent frame rates on.
Get something with FreeSync and 144Hz-165HZ max refresh rate.
Thanks for the information. I thought Freesync and 144hz-165hz refresh rate is when you're playing games. Or is this beside games better anyway?

Ok, well if your playing very light games that your iGPU can handle at 4K that that would be the resolution I'd recommend. I'd also go Freesync as the iGPU supports it.
The things I do on my computer, don't require a good GPU. The only thing the processor has to do, is to make sure there is some image on the monitor.

With this requirements, I come to this models:
Samsung U28E590D (€ 198 in sale)
Samsung LU28R550UQU (€ 277)
Samsung U28R554UQU (€ 338)
ASUS VP28UQGL (€ 279)

I see that two models have a TN-panel and the other ones have a IPS-panel. How important is this? I know that TN-panels have better colours, but IPS better angles.

Actually IPS has much better colors then TN.

I wouldn't worry about viewing angles unless you have multiple people watching the monitor.
Thanks for the advice. I see that this monitor isn't available anymore for that price. Maybe the Samsung LU28R550UQU is a better choice then? Or is the Samsung LU28E590DS a better monitor?

I was also looking at other monitors and came across these:
Samsung LU32J590
LG 32UK550

These monitors are larger than the ones above mentioned. Is this a big difference in size? I want to have a larger work surface than I have right now. Or are these monitors to big to use for Office applications, browsing on the internet and watching some tv?

I have done some research, but I can't make a decision. I want to choose one of these monitors:
AOC Q2790PQU/BT. 27 inch QHD. The panel is IPS
Samsung LU32J590. 32 inch UHD. The panel is VA

Most of the time I use the monitor for Office applications. But sometimes I'm also watching some tv in another screen. The AOC monitor has a brightness of 350 vs 270 for the Samsung monitor. The AOC has also IPS (Samsung VA). The thing the Samsung montior has better, is the screen size (32 inch), a better resolution (4k) and FreeSync. I don't know how important FreeSync is when watching tv. I don't use the monitor for playing games that requires a very good monitor.

I want to choose one of above monitors.
